CICA Vancouver relies on volunteers’ effort and commitment to assist us in a variety of ways. Our volunteers give invaluable assistance to our personnel and ensure that visitors have a positive experience. As a non-profit art centre, CICA Vancouver relies on a dedicated group of volunteers to help with a variety of duties, such as web development, installation assistance, cataloguing, and aiding with opening receptions, guided tours, talks, and galas.
Are you interested in contemporary art and exhibitions? Do you enjoy collaborating with others in a social learning environment? Join our welcoming and committed team of volunteers.
Gallery attendants play a significant role in operation management and enhancing visitors’ experience. Attendants are in charge of welcoming guests, answering inquiries, and informing people about our art centre and exhibitions. Attendants should be enthusiastic in learning and sharing about artists and their work, and they should behave politely. In addition, Gallery Attendants are frequently assigned marketing, administration, and library-related activities.
From set-up to clean-up, Event Assistants help with the smooth operation of CICA Vancouver’s opening receptions, panel talks, artist interviews, and other special events. Event Assistants should be personable, observant, and able to work well in a fast-paced, public-facing workplace. The Serving It Right accreditation is a valuable asset. This is a fantastic chance for the Event Assistants to interact with the artists, patrons, members, and other guests of CICA Vancouver.
